St162's have never been imported in Russia. All russian st162s come from western Europe. Obviously this one is originally german with its Halsbeck Gmbh front bumper.
In 1986, Russia was still USSR and no import of exotic sport cars. In 1990, after the fall of the wall, Toyota began exporting cars to Russia. So, logically, no "true" russian st162. All came from Western Europe after 1990. Essentially from Germany. For the Halsbeck kit, it came as a front bumper only or a complete kit. With or without front fog lamps. Offered by Toyota german dealers as an option. Very rare item nowadays.
Hi, maybe this will be interesting: this block is from 98.10-> TOYOTA ALTEZZA, or in some markets post 96 3gen 3sge celica, I have the same, at first I was confused too about that coolant pipe under thermostat, but a little search on 3S engines, and find that this is altezza block.
On gen2 GTE the pipe is in the waterpump, on later motors it was moved to the block. I think that is a Gen3 or BEAMS block, Altezza sump/block has the dipstick near the p/s pump. Not under the exhaust like yours.
I agree, Its gen3 3S 96.06->from celica (by dipstick) block, the sump is interchangeable, mine is with 2gen 3sgte oil pump and sump. On ->96.06 3S block's there was used bracket for oil cooler, on later models no (see place for it in picture, but there no holes for bracket).
