I bought the car in a bad way! motor was assembled from three! low intake 2gen 3gen head and brains 1gen! Now intake, wiring and brain 2gen!
Check which tvis you have. The vacuum valve open close operation has to match up with the correct ECU. ie/ normally closed versus normally open
Gen2/3 does not have T-VIS I'm confused now, earlier pics show a gen2 head & manifold, last pic shows a gen1 intake on the gen2 head. Did you fit the T-VIS as well?, if so you will need to open the inlet ports sothat the valves can open and use the gen1 ecu (brain) http://www.st162.net/forum/showthre...ore-jdm-oddities&p=37469&viewfull=1#post37469
looks much better than the red one. also, is it possible for you to find the "twincam16" badge for me? i'd like to get that..
I have one badge left Gen2 is like this- There is a pipe at the back, but not in front- Gen3 looks like this- no pipe in front either Sump-
I was hoping you could tell us, maybe somebody else here has seen one of those but I have thousands of motor pics and this is the 1st time I've seen that block and oil filter housing. Sump is 3rd gen, normally the filter sits down near the flywheel pulley. Is there another location for an oil filter? I guess that extra water pipe goes straight to the waterpump? Do you have pics of the waterpump and the water recirculate pipes?, sothat I can try match it to any of my pics. Was this block/head from the same model?, or is this a pile of stuff you collected?
Gen2 GE (JDM) Looks the same as the gen1, there's no front water pipe like your's There is a pipe at the rear which is similar to the GTE models I don't have a gen3 block in pieces, but you can see from these
It could be, but the pics I posted earlier a)don't show that water pipe b)there's no oil pump housing on the block
