it came from an 88/89 celica gts. i believe it is the cruise control bracket. last i recall, the 1st gen 3sge was only ever offered in the celica.
Well all I can think of is maybe you had electronic cruise control not the vacuum cruise control like I have. Heres a pic of my 89 with vacuum cruise control same layout as the previous engine Note the throttle cable comes from the passenger side Heres my 92 camry with electronic cruise control Note the throttle cable comes from the drivers side perhaps you can use/modify a camry bracket
i had to reverse the direction of the catch that actuates the throttle body. part of that 'custom' setup. at current, i'm going to get the one i have welded back together, with some extra reinforcement added. but, i'll still be hunting for an uncut one.
yup! got the bracket from jaydog82 today. it is from a 5sfe. it required a bit of 'customization' to get it fitted properly to my 3sge setup, but it works perfectly!
