Alright guys i'm at a loss here. I just recently replaced the top and rail assembly on my car and now it wont go down all the way. the rails are hitting in the back. I'm pretty sure i got it in right but i must have done something wrong. anyway i need some pictures of where the rails attach to the structure of the car, and where the support for the rear window attaches to the rails. I'm at a total loss here, the weather is great and my top is stuck up! :sad Any pictures of the top assembly would be helpful because i do have some other questions about how its put together but those aren't urgent.
I don't know if this will help but there is a convertible manual suplement posted down in technical it may have a picture or description that could help you http://www.st162.net/forum/showthread.php?923-89-Convertible-0wners-Manual-Repair-Manual-Supplement Seems to have alot of detailed info
I've given a look over once so far but i will check again. Thanks for reminding me about that. Also RickStar has one he said he may let me borrow from him.
Hi scott sorry to hear u still hav problems. I guess my pics pm to u didnt help. If any consolation at least u got sun. I got rain+wind+frost all month with the power hood not working :-(
Unfortunately your pics didn't show what I need. The only way to see it if to pull the side panels off. I'm going to keep looking to see if I can't figure it out though. Thanks for your help though.
Is it the side panes where the seat belt and speakers are (as shown in pics)? If easy to take off i ll see if i can take some pics inside ther for u
yes that is where its at, in the back. they aren't too hard to take off. just a couple screws. and you would only have to do one side....if it turns out to be too much of a hastle dont worry about it. I'm always keeping an eye out for parts verts on craigslist anyway.
Hi pal, Sorry - not really a DIY person - so couldn't figure out how to take panel off... But, let me know if these pics behind the panel any good:
