Just got the news that one of our friends from PCA (Porsche Club of America), was killed while instructing a DE (Driver Education) event at Carolina Motorsport Park, the same track we just raced on in February. He was riding with a Student in a 930 Turbo, when they hit anti-freeze left by another car just ahead of them, causing them to spin out of control. The result of the spin, was a side impact with a tree passenger side first, our friend was killed instantly, and hopefully didn't even know what hit hime. Unlike most DE cars, this was a full blown racecar, with full cage, race seats, 5 point harness, and both driver and passenger wearing Hans Devices. I leave Thursday afternoon for our race weekend at Road Atlanta, but I'm sure the whole group will be a little less excited to be on track and push their limits as much!!! racerb

Thank guys for your thoughts, I will probably be working with PCA in April at NCCAR, so I'm sure his passing will still be heavy on everyones hearts. racerb
